1. Its all about YOU - God always answers Prayers

When the idea is not right, God says, "No."

No-when the idea is not the best.
No-when the idea is absolutely wrong.
No-when though it may help you,
it could create problems for someone else.

When the time is not right, God says, "Slow."

What a catastrophe it would be if God answered every prayer at the snap of your fingers.
Do you know what would happen?
God would become your servant, not your master. Suddenly God would be working for you instead of you working for God.

Remember: God's delays are not God's denials. God's timing is perfect.
Patience is what we need in prayer.

When you are not right, God says, "Grow."

The selfish person has to grow in unselfishness.
The cautious person must grow in courage.
The timid person must grow in confidence.
The dominating person must grow in sensitivity.
The critical person must grow in tolerance.
The negative person must grow in positive attitudes.
The pleasure-seeking person must grow in compassion for suffering people.

When everything is all right, God says, "Go."

Then miracles happen:
A hopeless alcoholic is set free!
A drug addict finds release !
A doubter becomes as a child in his belief.
Diseased tissue responds to treatment, and healing begins.
The door to your dream suddenly swings open and there
stands God saying, "Go!"

2.Thoughts for this week

but rather try to become a man of value."

3. Health…Eat well - Live Well

Amazing article…..will share in parts so as not to lose the essence

Adding fruits and vegetables to your meals can make a big difference. Here are some examples of choices for you to consider and the health benefits they provide

Follow the Rainbow to a Healthier You!

We start with the first colour - Red

Red fruits/veggies contain phytochemicals which promote:

Memo: Phytochemicals: Natural plant compounds that may provide a variety of health benefits. Many of the bright colors in fruits and vegetables come from phytochemicals

* A healthy heart
* Urinary tract health
* Lower risk of some cancers
* Improved memory function

* Watermelon
* Raspberries
* Tomatoes
* Cherries
* Apples
* Radishes
* Beets
* Pomegranates

Balaji: So add a dash of these vegetable / fruits to your food…..you need not to even cook some of these…just wash and eat as a snack..Eat Well – Live well!!!

Some live examples in real life…One father of an employee(s) in my office always gives them a small box of fruits (apple, grapes, etc.,) and another box of vegetables (carrots, cucumber, etc.,) – there are 2 other people who prepare their own "Snack box" of fruits and or vegetables everyday –it does not take time nor does it cost….a Little effort in getting your Box ready is all the investment you need to make everyday So why don’t you try it out!!!

4. Management quick tips.. to get better, smarter at work #1

Simple and effective tips that would enhance your career to a greater extent.

# 1. Effective communication forms the foundation for a positive work alliance. You need to be able to tell your potential ally what you need and listen deeply to what they need.

# 2. Treat your allies as equals. No matter their position within your organization, all people are equal; they just have different jobs. Believe this.

# 3. Exhibit total professionalism. Never participate in gossip or in discussing the business of coworkers behind their backs.

# 4. Make sure you are not forming an exclusive club that the rest of your organization will fear and resent. But, you must take the time to develop strong relationships with your allies.

# 5. When working on a project together, always put forth your best efforts. Be the person who is willing to do extra to strengthen the collaboration and the outcome or product

5. Jokes corner..

# 1 A Lesson to learn..

Good One……Intent and result – redefined….yes, fell down laughing this joke.

A certain private school recently faced a unique problem. A number of standard 12 girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom. That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night, the maintenance man would remove them and the next day, the girls would put them back.

Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man. She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the housekeeping man who had to clean the mirrors every night.

To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the housekeeping man to show the girls how much effort was required. He took out a long-handled mop, dipped it in the toilet, and cleaned the mirror with it.

Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.

#2 See and Enjoy..B/f Murthy

Friends, these are exam times…..someone in your known circle would be writing one exam or the other…hope they have not anything like these…

6. Management thoughts..What do we build in our lives?

Once upon a time two brothers, who lived on adjoining farms, fell into conflict. It was the first serious rift in 40 years of farming side by side, sharing machinery, and trading labor and goods as needed without a conflict.

Then the long collaboration fell apart. It began with a small misunderstanding and it grew into a major difference, and finally it exploded into an exchange of bitter words followed by weeks of silence.

One morning there was a knock on John's door. He opened it to find a man with a carpenter's tool box.
"I'm looking for a few days' work" he said. "Perhaps you would have a few small jobs here and there I could help with? Could I help you?" "Yes," said the older brother. "I do have a job for you."

"Look across the creek at that farm. That's my neighbor; in fact, it's my younger brother. Last week there was a meadow between us and he took his bulldozer to the river levee and now there is a creek between us. Well, he may have done this to spite me, but I'll do him one better."

"See that pile of lumber by the barn? I want you to build me a fence --an 8-foot fence -- so I won't need to see his place or his face anymore."

The carpenter said, "I think I understand the situation. Show me the nails and the post-hole digger and I'll be able to do a job that pleases you."

The older brother had to go to town, so he helped the carpenter get the materials ready and then he was off for the day.
The carpenter worked hard all that day measuring, sawing, nailing. About sunset when the farmer returned, the carpenter had just finished his job.

The farmer's eyes opened wide, his jaw dropped. There was no fence there at all. It was a bridge -- a bridge stretching from one side of the creek to the other! A fine piece of work, handrails and all -- and the neighbor, his younger brother, was coming toward them, his hand outstretched. "You are quite a fellow to build this bridge after all I've said and done."

The two brothers stood at each end of the bridge, and then they met in the middle, taking each other's hand.
They turned to see the carpenter hoist his toolbox onto his shoulder. "No, wait! Stay a few days. I've a lot of other projects for you," said the older brother.

"I'd love to stay on," the carpenter said, but I have many more bridges to build.

Hmmmm..applies a lot to each of us…at Home yes, joint families – yes, with your spouse – Yes, with your children/ parents – yes.
Office – YES YES……So what bridge are you going to build in your lives today?

7. Managemen(t)oons..
Real interesting – constantly re-emphasizes on the importance of communication on our day to day life – be it any department in office or at home…the more clearly you communicate, the better chances of success…!
Now why is that my wife smiling at this comment!!!

8. What is your Verdict - Interesting contrasts

In a small town, a person decided to open up his bar business, which was right opposite to the Temple. The Temple & its congregation started a campaign to block the Bar from opening with petitions and prayed daily against his business.

Work progressed. However, when it was almost complete and was about to open a few days later, a strong lightning struck the Bar and it was burnt to the ground.

The temple folks were rather smug in their outlook after that, till the Bar owner sued the Temple authorities on the grounds that the Temple through its congregation & prayers was ultimately responsible for the demise of his bar shop, either through direct or indirect actions or means.
In its reply to the court, the temple vehemently denied all responsibility or any connection that their prayers were reasons to the bar shop's demise.

As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork at the hearing and commented: "I don't know how I'm going to decide this case, but it appears from the paperwork, we have a bar owner who believes in the power of prayer and we have an entire temple and its devotees that doesn't."

9. Tip for this week….Grooming

Grooming means dressing well, to be presentable to others. You may want to give a little more attention to how you dress at work because what you wear may be substantially influencing your career path. Although nothing takes the place of talent, hard work, innate ability and ambition, looking your professional best in the workplace can give you a competitive advantage.
It simply means dressing in a way that projects an image of the sophisticated, successful working individual you are or would like to become.
Accessories

Men
BELTS Wear only formal belts with a sleek buckle. As thumb rule, match your belt to your shoes.
