Good Morning!! It is still a very Good Morning!! Let us continue on..Had a good sleep, so let us get to the morning routine a bit more in detail..

The "Break-Fast"
As the name suggests, it is clearly a Meal to Break your Fast – after a good nights sleep, Breakfast marks conclusion of fasting since the previous day's last meal.
This is clearly the most important meal of the day. Breakfast usually consists of foods that are high in energy content. "So Eat your breakfast".

Well, imagine you're a car. After a long night of sleeping, your fuel tank is empty. Breakfast is the fuel that gets you going so you can hit the road.

Eating breakfast not only aids in weight management, it fuels the body to help provide energy, better concentration and problem-solving ability throughout the day, according to the food and nutrition experts.

Why Breakfast?
Forty years of breakfast related studies show that jump starting the day with breakfast benefits everyone -- children, teens and adults. "Eating breakfast is very important for the brain and the body first thing in the morning". "Breakfast skippers often feel tired, restless or irritable in the morning."

Breakfast is the first chance the body has to refuel its glucose levels, also known as blood sugar, after eight to 12 hours without a meal or snack. Glucose is essential for the brain and is the main energy source. Blood glucose also helps fuel the muscles needed for physical activity throughout the day.

It helps curb your hunger and prevent binge eating later in the day. Breakfast is important to manage your weight and potentially lose weight by eating less calories throughout the day."

Additional Simple, easy tips to add to a Healthy Breakfast:

Choose Fruit for Breakfast. Fruit gives you fiber. Fresh fruit is the best choice. There are many to choose from: oranges, grapes, apples, bananas, , mangos, watermelons. Eat two servings of fruit every morning.

Eat High Fiber Hot Cereal. E.g Oats

Choose Whole Grain Bread. Eat two slices of toast in the morning. Spread with fruit spread.

Final thoughts:

Take time to eat a large, balanced breakfast. It’s a good investment of your time. Once you get into the habit of eating breakfast, you may feel hungry in the morning.

Coimbatore:
Visited Coimbatore recently, the city continues to evolve...It is becoming the education hub with a host of great Schools / Colleges.. And is at par or excelling Chennai…Blah blah blah..

Sorry folks, there are enough articles on the web, newspapers, so wont spend Energy on that..but I MUST mention one thing…

THE PEOPLE: So warm, Courteous, Bold n Smart….was really impressed.

Not sure if I would see this in Chennai in these days, But (twice) when I was Struggling on the routes, people on motorbikes actually (went out of their way) to drive up to a point from where I could easily reach the Place I was trying to. Amazing..!!!
Coimbatore Rocks!!

Singara Chennai:

Some more interesting facets to our Great Chennai.

(1) Population:
Year Population( Nos)

1881 405,848
1941 776,000
1951 1,416,056 (The explosion starts - 82.5% growth in 10 Years)
2001 4,216,268

Again this is conservative count, because the boundaries have "expanded" and only proper Chennai's population is included in here

(2) Some forgotten monuments in Chennai (Read the "The Hindu" newspaper Saturday edition dated 28th August)

- High Court – there is a plaque, marking the site in the compound wall of the High court which was hit in a bombardment by a German warship in World War 1
- Fort St George – Original Markings indicating the four boundaries of the Great Fort (3 have disappeared, only one left)

Read more in "The Hindu" newspaper, was very exciting to know this trivia about Our city

Inspiring thoughts

Finish Strong: Whenever you are working towards a goal or an event or a task, always look to finish strong. You would have put in lots of efforts to reach your goal, but it is equally important that you make a final push

To Victory!! How do you do it?

Stay focused and determined. "it is our level of determination that will make the difference". (Scott Turner)

It is important to just keep persevering and keep our goal in front of us. It's so easy to get distracted or thrown off course by obstacles, but a written down goal with clear action steps will help you to finish strong.

Time Management - B/f Sumathi
Imagine that your bank credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries
over no balance from day to day. Every evening it deletes whatever part of the
balance you failed to use during the day. What would you do?

Draw out every cent of course!!!
Everyone has such a bank. Its name is TIME.
Every morning it credits you with 86, 400 seconds.
Every night it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.
It carries over no balance.
It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day.
If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There
is no drawing against the “tomorrow”. You must live in the present on today’s
deposit. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success.
The clock is running. Make the most of today.
To realise the value of ONE YEAR, ask the student who failed a grade.
To realise the value of ONE MONTH, ask the mother of a pre-mature baby.
To realise the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realise the value of ONE DAY, ask the daily wage labourer with kids to feed.
To realise the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realise the value of ONE MINUTE, ask the person who missed the train.
To realise the value of ONE SECOND, ask the person who just avoided an accident.
To realise the value of ONE MILLIE-SECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal
in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have, and remember that time waits for no one.
Yesterday is history; tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift; that’s why it’s called the PRESENT!!!

"Genuine" Fake

Somehow in recent times, I seem to start relishing "Genuine" Fake mails - here is one more!!

Part 1: (The one which seemed to go around quite a bit)
This august has 5 Saturdays, 5 Sundays, and 5 Mondays. All these days are in single month – August 2009. It happens once in 823 years
When February get 29 days in a month, we call it leap year and that comes every four years.

Part 2: Next level – people had gone to the extent of naming the a "Rare Phenomenon"
But what is it called? When we get a situation occurring in 823 years? "Mosasu-5 year"! Mosasu is for Monday, Saturday, and Sunday with 5 days (Taking two initial letters of each day).
This is the hot email going around…Sorry once in 823 years happened previously in Aug 1970, Aug 1981…Check it out !!
